The Everlight Charter
Maul-Kar's Month of Kuthona 4711
Today I had some “hang-ups” with my plan. My last orc proved his ignorance just as all the others did and turned on me because he did not understand my tactics. Never the less, my goal is achieved. Grog outlived his usefulness to me anyway, it was only a matter of time before I killed him. Orcs are like dogs, useful when they listen to me, but if they turn on me they gotta be put down.
Traveling with this paladin has not been easy, he allowed a parley with another scouting group which was holding one of his men captive. I put my life on the line for this damn group and now they have signed my death papers by allowing these men to leave knowing my betrayal. Foolish humans, they walk around with this false sense of valor, but they are hurtful and only think of themselves never about who might get hurt by their actions. I guess I was a fool for letting him live, just so I could die. Now I need to be careful and stay in the shadows and conceal my identity from any others we come across and travel away from the main party in hopes the enemy cant track my movements. I’ll feel a lot safer when we reach our destination and are far away from here.
