The Everlight Charter

Counter Attacking the Bandit Camp
The best laid plans of mice and men...

It was quickly decided that if they left right then, they would be able to return to the bandits main camp and catch them unaware. The three prisoners swore to return with them and led them back to the camp. In return for their service they would be pardoned and only issued minor labor for their punishment. They led the group through the wilderness. While, out hunting one night, it appeared that the bandit named Happs would break his oath and flee into the forest to reach the camp and warn them of the groups approach. They knew they had lost the element of surprise, but the task needed to be done regardless. The next day they arrived at the camp to find the bandits ready and waiting. The ensuing battle was the stuff of legends and bards tales. Justice was narrowly brought to the camp that day, and their leader, Kressle, was slain. The group returned to Oleg’s with 5 prisoners. The main bandit force had been routed, the immediate threat was eliminated, prisoners were set to working off their debt, celebrations were had, and the planning of their exploration could finally commence.

Redeeming the Stolen
Baptising with fire

The Mercenary Clash, and the Barbarian Roarsh wanted the blood of these bandits. Gavrosh remembered his not long ago past lifestyle, and felt sorry for the men begging for their life. But banditry was not to be tolerated, and they were chartered to rid the Stolen Lands of this menace. The noble Priest of Sarenrae, Alabaster looked down upon the wretches with scimitar in one hand, and holy symbol in other. “Swear oath to Sarenrae and seek redemption for your soul or perish at the hands of these men.” It appeared the Stolen Lands would be redeemed, one bandit at a time.

Arrival at Olegs
And so it began...

The party traveled south towards their soon-to-be makeshift homebase, a small trading post on the frontier called “Olegs”. Getting acquainted with one another, the five adventurers settled in at Olegs and sat down to plan their approach to this monsterous task at hand. However, it appeared that there would be no time to plan, for trouble was already en route. Speaking with Oleg and his wife Svetlanna, they described a group of evil bandits who would arrive unopposed and take Olegs goods, issue threats, and then leave. They would be returning in the morning…
The group set about preparing an ambush for the unsuspecting bandits, and just as the first beams of Saranrae’s light pierced the morning haze, the bandits arrived. They allowed the bandits to enter the fort and begin to take the supplies, before striking from cover. All the bandits were killed or captured.
Now the question was, “What to do with the prisoners?”

The Charter

A meeting is held with the Swordlords of Restov. The Swordlords open charter in hopes that brave souls will end the tyranny of the bandits in the Stolen Lands. However, there are rumors that the bandits have been united under one leader, a man who is known as The Stag Lord. Only five willing participants sign the charter of the Greenbelt. Lord Alabaster Orlovsky Priest of Sarenrae, Clash Mustang freelance mercenary, Darva the gold dragonblooded sorceror, Gavrosh Rudenheim the ex-bandit, and Roarsh the barbarian of the Vol’dun. With the charter signed they set forth to the small outpost they would call home while exploring the Stolen Lands and battling the bandits.
